An Analysis of The Character and Characterization of Protagonist in Play Twelve Angry Men

Abstract

In this study, there are two problem formulation namely how the protagonist maintains his argument in determining a defendant innocent and how the character of the protagonist is described in the analysis of the play. This study uses the documentation method and is taken from some sources. The writer used descriptive analysis and gathered all the necessary data related to the object. The data collection of the research implicated the process and was done by the writer sequentially through reading and interpretation. The result of the study is that the protagonist in this drama has a character who has sympathy to the defendant. Meanwhile, in cases faced by the protagonist and other characters, they are assigned to determine whether the defendant is guilty or innocent.
