ANALYSIS OF RELIGIOUS ASPECT IN THE FILM I STILL BELIEVE AS A BIOGRAPHICAL FILM BY ERWIN BROTHER

Abstract

• The Erwin Brothers are the producers of the movie I Still Believe. 2020 saw the release of the movie. The autobiography of the church singer, left behind by his wife Melissa, is the subject of the story told in I Still Believe. Melissa's cancer took her life. The narrative of Jeremy Camp and Melissa's faith in God is presented in the movie. The purpose of this research is to examine the religious elements in the movie I Still Believe. Research is conducted using a descriptive qualitative methodology. Documentation techniques are used in the process of gathering data. After seeing the movie, researchers analyzed data in the form of dialogue that depicted various facets of religion. The findings indicated that there are religious overtones in the movie I Still Believe. Among the theological themes explored in the movie are: 1) religious belief, or faith in God; 2) engaging in religious activity, such as observing rituals; 3) a religious feeling, which is the sensation of being near God; 4) religious knowledge, or an individual's understanding of the faith they practice; 5) The religious effect is the application of a religious believer's acquired religious teachings and beliefs to daily life.
