MENGATASI KESULITAN-KESULITAN DALAM PENERJEMAHAN LISAN DARI BAHASA INGGRIS KE DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA

Abstract

In translating spoken language an interpreter has a function as a mediator between a speaker and audience. An interpreter should be able to interpret what the speaker says in a short time in order that the audience can understand it. The problem is there are some dificulties that an interpreter has to overcome. The aim of this paper is to find out the difficulties that an interpreter faces in doing his/her interpreting from English into Indonesian. The writer applies library research and observation method to discuss the problems. The result shows that there are dijjiculies that an interpreter f aces in doing his/her job as an interpreter and some ways to overcome the problems.
