The writer is interested in feminism issues in films because they are relevant to life in the real world where inequality still exists. The writer finds Sally's intention to change the stereotype about standardization of women in the film - the reasons behind her action. The writer also identifies Sally's effort in opposing the feminism issue to change how the world sees women not as an object, to change the stereotype about women, and to get equality. The purpose of this thesis are: (1) To analyze what feminism issues experienced by Sally and other characters portrayed in the film are; (2) to identify Sally's intention to change the stereotype about women in the film - the reasons behind Sally’s action; and (3) to identify Sally's effort in opposing the feminism issue to change the stereotype about women and to get equality in the film, what kind of actions that Sally and other characters do to sound their mind and their intentions. The research method that the writer uses in this thesis is to use a qualitative approach, which is research using data collection methods and analysis methods using observations. The writer uses 2 approaches; socio-historical approach and feminism approach. Meanwhile, the theories that will be used are; Miss World 1970, The Women's Liberation Movement, Stereotype, Scopophilia, Feminist objectification, and Gender Equality.
